Robot Final 4/26
As I began to search for images for my robot, I came to realize how much cleaner an image looks when using high-resolution images and using the Quick Selection makes the work much easier in the after process. I started with the idea of using bicycle parts for the contrapposto section of the robot, making it seem as realistic as a robot as possible, in the end, I really like that I went with his little hat, it gives him character. For the most part, the only complicated part is looking for high-resolution images online. Most of them were copyrighted or turned into a weblink which was unfortunate. So I started searching for parts as "parts for sale" to get as close as possible for a good looking image to download. The overall composition was a success and helped me go onto finding the background much quicker, therefore it was really just efficient planning and putting it all together.
Reflection on Robot Final:
Throughout the whole construction of my Robot, I really wanted for the background to be a mysterious scene. I desired to make a robot that looked that it came out of a movie scene and the robot was more than a robot. That it would be a character from a series. I liked that this background that I chose due to the lighting. The robot parts are far too "bright" to use a dark layer to minimize the shine so having that light in the background placed like that helped with using it to show as a headlight shining onto the robot and cast a realistic shadow with the lighting placed like that. Futuristic and Metal components always seem clean when it comes to designing. My only challenges was really searching for a background realistic enough to fit the "shine" and colors. I also learned how much I really use the "Ctrl + T" shortcut as well as the Multiple Selection "Ctrl + select layer" is so beneficial when grouping many images together.
